Lesson 7: Make your expertise visible
Two project managers can share a title and still work in very different ways. What sets you apart is the evidence you leave behind. Shamane explains how LinkedIn works as a place to show your thinking through templates, methods, leadership principles, lessons from hard projects and your view on industry trends.
You will learn to replace broad claims like “led transformation projects” with the specific moves you made, such as aligning business and tech leaders on one roadmap or setting clear ownership. Once you have that story, you can place it in your Featured section, repeat it in posts and reinforce it in thoughtful comments on posts from peers and stakeholders.
Reflection Activity / Action Item: Choose one work sample you are proud of. Write three short lines: the role you played, the key decision you made, and the result it produced.
