Lesson 10: Follow up and build a repeatable habit
Different posts bring different people to your inbox, and many of those conversations fade without a follow-up. Shamane shares how a simple follow-up habit led her to media features, podcasts, speaking invitations, projects and referrals. The key is to follow up in new and useful ways instead of repeating the same message.
You will hear how one person’s “not interested” reply revealed the topic they did care about, and how sending them relevant material later turned into a warm relationship. Shamane also asks you to think the whole journey through: if someone replies, how will you move the relationship forward with intent?
Reflection Activity / Action Item: Choose one conversation to continue this week. Note what the person told you they care about, and send one helpful follow-up, such as an article, an introduction or an update on advice they gave you.
